sound problems - rear speakers very quiet

I've re-installed windows etc and since re-installing I've noticed on cs:s I can't hear anything behind me.

The sounds play, but only at a whisper. I've tried changing my volume settings in windows, put all speakers appart from the rear ones down, but it makes no difference

My soundcard is a Creative SBLive! 24-bit USB

Before re-installing windows it was fine tho and I could hear for miles behind me.

In my creative software, it has a diagnosis tool which plays sound from each corner. There is also one of these in CSS - this should help you determine whether its CSS or the sound drivers.

seems to test ok on the creative testing util, can hear sounds from rear speakers etc. Just seem very quiet on cs:s, even on the test thing

I've even tried removing my cfg's so it's on default settings, but it still does the same might have to look around for drivers I guess, altho it does seem to be cs:s.

I just uninstalled all the creative stuff incl drivers and it installed the legacy drivers.

Suddenly it works ok altho now the rear speakers in cs:s are crossed over so right is left and left is right lol

Turned out to be a sound driver problem even tho it was only in cs:s

I've got it working properly now by forcing it to use a driver and manually messing with some files. Thx for help

not having much luck with windows drivers lately
