"With Sony’s God of War games earning over $1 billion on PC alone, Sony’s reported decision to abandon PC is strange."

This number is misleading. God of War + Ragnarok likely sold only around $250 million at best.

Sonys PC sales as a whole I believe has surpassed $1 billion.

With that being said I think not supporting PC is a miscalculated move regardless of the the fear of Steam and Xbox. The money being missed will be way more than staying exclusive. Their market will only shrink.

Just over 2.37 Billion USD in total for all their PC ports last I read which is still a damn nice amount of profit.

You are correct, the number is wrong. I have edited the article.

The gaming market is going to get strange for the next while. It's strange to think that we will be in a new hardware generation soon. It feels like we are still at the start of the PS5 generation.

Yes it doesn't feel like we need new consoles right now. An entire generation of consoles and not either a brand new GTA or Elder Scrolls game releases on it? That's wild. Those games are pillars of generations usually.

Erm... last gen didn't get a new GTA or Elder Scrolls either. They just got enhanced versions of the PS3/360 games.
