Some interesting data on different fans

Courtesy of one Linus Sebastian, but it's interesting data to say the least.

So, for static pressure we can clearly see that the Corsair SP120 Performance are top dogs. That being said, whilst running at 12v they are also the loudest fans that were tested, which is also something to bear in mind. Talking about loud, look there, the NFF12s are right behind the SP120s.

Noisey fans are easy to make, quiet well performing fans are where its at.

That's true, it's a shame that too many many manufactures go for easy option of making good performing loud fans instead of the quiet good performing ones though.

Only Noctua and Cougar seem to be taking the quiet but good performing route at the moment. The new Corsair fans are good but they are far to loud, I would never buy them over the Noctuas anyway.
