So where's the fa cup final thread..?

So who tuned in and saw what has to be the second best fa cup final in my memory? Second only to Liverpool West Ham a couple of years back.

There was more skill on show than any of the big four in the prem could muster between them. A good contest with Cardiff dominating in the first half despite going behind.

I'm from Pompey but defiantly have a soft spot for Cardiff since living here. They were terrific yesterday and it could have gone either way. And isn't nice for two managers to be genuinely complementary about each other without pathetic whining?

This year was not about money and egos. This was football :)

Any thoughts? Cheers!

I wasnt fussed either way so didnt put myself out to watch the game live but I did see the highlights, seemed like a good game.

I happened to be throwing mobos around the room all weekend >.<

Game was pretty good, pretty darn close too. I mean if the ref thought David James had pushed the ball onto his arm, the Cardiff goal would have stood LOL. (hehe wishfull thinking)

Before the game on Friday, i mentioned to some guyz here that the stage was set for it to be close till around 80 mins and Robbie Fowler would come on and score - then announce retirement the next day or something - yeah right.

Welldone Pompey tbh.

A final played in the right spirit by trying to win the game, not a foul or booking for the other team, that alone was worth watching. I doubt Wednesday evening will be the same.

Pompey stats of 22 matches not lost after scoring first summed up the control James has when he's in tune with his defense. Pompey had the edge though, as they should.

Cardiff tried harder, got a touch unlucky with the handball (was a foul but great finish) and Glenn Johnson, did the ref fancy him? Any two of his many fouls would have seen him off in many games. Overall - Well done Pompey and well played Cardiff.
