Smallest Motherboard

Hi guys,

I am after the smallest possible motherboard which will take a Xeon E5.

Does not need on board graphics - but needs at least one (pref 2) PCI-E x16.

Also gigabit (or two) NICs.

Cheers in advance

If you are looking for a specific motherboard we would need to know the socket.
E5 would be 2011 or 1356

Anything that is the same socket will run the Xeon it just won't be officially supported.

There are ZERO mini-ITX boards that are 2011 (I'm assuming that's the socket you want)
So you will be stuck with a micro-ATX of which there are few choices.

BUT if you wanted to make a project out of it, you can take the motherboard out of this and then you will have the smallest 2011 motherboard there is.

Thats a tough task. If it should be small you should not use a server CPU like that :( Nano-ITX would be your choice but i know -- wrong processor ^_^
