Sli

Was just about to order my mobo and was just double checking and to find that I wouldn't be able to SLI with 2 cards :(.

Has anyone got a board P45 preferably in which is CrossFire compatible and doesn't lose any features.

MSI P45 Neo-F LGA775, DDR2, SAT2, GBLan, 7.1Snd, ATX @ £72.26

Want something better please :), thank you!

lol, oopsie was meant to put CrossFire also, not buying my graphics card until this TV has arrived and I have brought some Christmas presents.

Not possible.

SLi, is on nVidia chipsets only.. not Intel. Change your motherboard if you want SLI.

That motherboard is only good for CrossFire.

Not strictly true, SkullTrail supported SLi and X'Fire.

But it's damn expensive.

Seeing the motherboard I posted, I can only see one slot for a graphics card, and a review said it's not capable of holding two, can someone confirm this?

I was just wanting another mobo same price, same specs pretty much just two slots :D.

Thank you!

I will be collecting any items from them :D, don't worry I had some bad experience with them in the past Tekno, got everything sorted though.

But that mobo, good?

I've got the P5Q-E and they seem like a solid range of boards. Bear in mind that if XFire is a key feature though, the P45 ones only support x8 + x8 so if you are looking at high performance crossfire you want X38 or X48.

agreed if you really want to crossfire then you need an x38/x48 otherwise you are crippling your cards with the p35/p45

Too expensive for my budget, will this board be fine and dandy then? Because I have all other items ordered just need the mobo.

Asus P5Q Pro LGA775, DDR2, PCI-E2, SATA2, GBLan, ATX

Is this card good for CrossFire also, or would it be better to get a one card for the price?

512Mb ATi Radeon HD 3870 PCI-Express2 £94.29, 2 of these be nice or just 1

512Mb Radeon HD 4870 PCI-Express2

Okay cool thank you :), by the time I could afford the 4870 it will be old lol, only joking :).

I'm owed £130 so that will be towards it.

How will this system be?:).

Q6600

700w PowerSupply

Corsair TwinX 4Gb

Asus P5Q Pro

4870

Nice cooling

320GB HD

More will be added, like x2 4870, bara 10000rpm HDD, I want 2 cards rather than 4870x2 since I won't wonna wait another month or so lol.

Be nice to run? This has turned from a £300 budget to around £800 LOL.
