SLi or ATI

well i wanted voltage extreme but theve had a major prob with the max of 3.5v setting. So what RAM do u recommend i have £150 to spend also look @ the post above wat gfx is better???

THANKS

dont use the 5v option on DFI's. then your ram WIL blow. otherwise it is safe.

get TCCD chips so you dont need the high voltages

get BFG because of the waranty

Mushkin PC3500 Redline = teh best ram!

And BFG blows XFX out of the water... There's no comparison and the BFG is the hands down winner :)

ok thanks guys..... so i cud still get VX OCZ ram cos that only needs to go up to 3.3v it says......

I would get TCCD if I could as you don't want your 3.3v RAIL totally loaded up all the time!

And yes - BFG Rulez :worship:

or maybe i dont no what your talking about?

The RAM feeds all its power from the 3.3v RAIL. You would have to volt mod the board to get more than that.

The PSU I'm on about is PCP&C 510 - SLI edition....I'm getting it soon :)

hey hopeing u can help me out

im liking the ASUS 6800 ultra and the point of view (which is cheaper + more games) what do you think??

ive got off BFG cos ill have 2 order it sepretly and asus look pretty good 256mb ram clocked @ 1100mhz and core @ 425mhz. But the point of view is the same! and cheaper!!!!

bfg has a lifetime waranty and bling factor....but you dont get many extra features. choice is urs

If you OC the BFG card at all it voids the "lifetime warranty" anyway. BFG Tech support say this is always the case (they must have some secret chip on the card, I dunno!!)...they have said that they know you OC'd the card.

The Asus cards are nice. BFG clock a little higher.....but if that's the Asus 6800U Extreme Gamers edition, then its OC'd out the box too.

I'd go for Asus :)

thats all BS . There is no way a manufacturer knows that its card has been overclocked unless you burn it . There is no secret information chip or w/e crap they tell you. The cost of that chip on the card alone will double the price of the card , and not to mention a lot of consumers would have already noticed it. BFG makes standard Nvidia spec cards and add nothing to it. Its just a bluff to get the truth out of the user's mouth .

There may be tell-tale signs of a card killed thru overclocking tho....

However, if you deny outright that the card was overclocked (or just pretend you don't know what overclocking is) there really isn't anything they can do to prove it 100%
