was thinking of going sli, thaught may aswell get the full potential of going sli by getting a x32 sli board, does it make much of a difference, that and my current mobo ain't that good of an oc'er
If your cards are the 256 version then i dont think its worth it. As far as i understand it the only cards that benifit from the x32 are the 512mb and the newer cards that are soon to be out. Dont quote me on this but im sure thats about true!
hmmm....i see you have x32 board i'm having major stability issues with my current board once i upgraded to the latest bios. something to do with installing the latest chipset drivers. downloaded the chipset drivers from the asus site, but have not got a clue how to install them!? now my IDE Channels are not working properly!
Yes i have x32 board and im upgrading to the g80s when they are available. As for the drivers i cant understand? When you download it comes up with a box asking if you wish to open the file and then you select open and off you go? Which one did you download?
If i remember right you will only get a few fps more with the new x32 boards,i had the ASUS x32 and sold it because when 2 cards where installed there was little room for any pci card`s,maybe the next gen x32 may prove to a much faster board.
