Skyrim Mods - Steam to NMM

I currently use Nexus Mod Manager to manage my mods; however, there are many mods on the Steam workshop that I would like to get. Is there any way to get mods from Steam and manually add them with Nexus Mod Manager? I hate using subscriptions on Steam.

I have Skyrim installed on Steam. If I subscribe to a mod, how can I locate it in my directory to remove it manually and use it with NMM?
