who cares about higher capacity mobile ram, please give us better specs on mobile ram, most ram only give you latencies of 17 which is atrocious, even my 3200 mhz kit can do much better at such a high frequency, at 2400 we should be getting much better latencies

These memory chips can be used for anything DDR4. Mobile is just an example.

Think of it this way, they can now make high capacity DDR4 with fewer chips, freeing up more other chips for other markets. That is what will help drive prices down.

Only drive prices down if the cost to manufacture goes down as well or stays the same. If it's more complex and takes longer to produce it offsets the advantage of freeing up production lines.

Don't agree. Every time Intel say they have shrunk NAND and SSDs are going to be cheaper for all wahey etc they're the same price as before.
