Single 780 or 770sli

Cheers mate, I don't quite understand the scoring system :/

I have, however just pre-ordered the 780 classified :)

You are going to have a lot of fun with it. I am also going to be buying a 780 in the next few days.:)

As to the scoring system higher is better and it is also very linear (if a card scores 1200 it is twice as powerful as one that scores 600). What the table shows is there is not much in it between the top Titans and 780s when overclocked.

Ah, I see. Thank you :)

Cheers Will, as soon as it comes ill put a pic up for you :)

I'm always for one graphic card. I really don't care much about benchmarks, only to compare with other cards to see if score is OK and for gaming I feel better with one strong than two. If GTX770 SLI is about 40-50% stronger sometimes and less than one GTX770 how that is stronger that heavy OC Classified GK110.
I always one but strong single.

It's not much difference but 780 Classified is far cooler than Titan with 8+6 pin and stock PCB.

And it's not same chip as GTX670 and GTX680, GTX780 is famous GK110 :).
No look only how GTX780 Classified look inside case... usually stock models look better but this is nicest non reference card in history. Buying GIGABYTE, DirectuCUII, Lightening near this is same as burn money for me.

Hi Vlada011

Several of us over at that link I posted earlier are getting MSI 780 lightnings this week when they launch and posting scores there. We are also very interested in the EVGA GTX 780 Classified as it is a top notch card.

If you or anyone else you know with a EVGA GTX 780 Classified wants to post a score there as well it will be very welcome.

^^^ To be fair any card such as a 780/titan is a top notch card:p

+1

Over on the link I posted above the GTX 780s from all the venders are selling like hotcakes. If you compare the number of GTX 780s in that table to older cards like the HD 7970 or GTX 680, there are a lot of GTX 780s in a very short time.:)

a little update :D Scan got a small shipment in yesterday and mine happened to get selected for posting :) so the classy comes Monday :) as soon as I've got it in ill put it up :)

On a subject of sli, would a corsair ax850 psu be enough to power stock classified 780s with an overclocked i5 3570k, 2 1tb hdds, 1 SSD and a water cooler like h80i?

It should be, but remember the 780 classified is for overclocking and for this needs a lot of power if you start overvolting it (above normal 780 levels) so things could get tight. If you were asking this question about a pair of normal 780s, your PSU is plenty.

One of my PCs uses an overclocked 3970x and a pair of Asus Matrix Platinum 7970s. When they are all overclocked and overvolted they pull 910watts at the wall.

Easily I'd have thought running the GPUs at stock, I run 2 580s which are way more power hungry, and an overclocked i5 with a custom loop, 1 HDD, and 1 SDD. Thought I'm not sure how much more power it would take overclocking them.

780s at boost pull less than 670watts(if i remember toms testing correctly) so a 750 will easily handle it but overclocking will be limited.
