Silverstone FT02-B-W + External 1260 RAD

Concerning the PCI bracket, I'm using a simple G1/4 to G1/4 bracket. I'll use fittings and normal tubing to get out of the case housing and put my QD's there (also because of the possible 'drop' when disconnecting).

V8 Vantage, GREAT Car!!

My weapon of choice ... is my GTR

As I live in Belgium I usually go to Spa or the Nordschleife, from time to time to Zolder as well.
Just got it into service and track setup onto it.

Stay safe and have fun!!!

Sweet Nissan GT-R !! That is a beast, and a nice weapon of choice :D !

I hope I haven't given you the wrong impression, I'll be in someone else's Vantage at Silverstone ;). I've driven a V8 Vantage and V12 DB9 round Duxford before (preferred the V8 Vantage), but this time it'll be a lot longer round Silverstone with tuition. I have a plan...

Once I've finished working on my (other project) Lotus Esprit and convinced myself to sell it, a V8 Vantage will be mine (insert evil laugh)!

Anyway, seeing as this is OC3D and not Pistonheads, back to your build :p. You have as good taste in cars as you have in cases and external rad setups mate!

I'll be building the water loop this weekend. I have also noticed that many cables that come standard with the PSU are a bit short to allow decent placement/management, so I'll need to pop over to the shop to get some extensions. And also new cables for my screens as these are also to short now.

Rad will be "art work" for the moment as I do not have the stand ... but it will be out of sight

Internal loop should be good, cant wait to get it in.
Got the PCI bracket to get the loop out, and all the other bits.

I had build all the parts in the FT02 and I have been running on air cooling, no OC ... I must say the FT02 runs very quiet on air as well. Certainly to recommend for Air coolers as well. (also allowed me to evaluate cable length and placement, placement of my SSD's, ...)

Of to work now ...

Build Complete!!

Well ... IT IS DONE ...

Is this better or at least an improvement!?

I'm very happy with the result.
The system runs stable at 4.7Ghz @ 1.28V
(did not spend to much time getting Voltage lower as temps are OK)

Temp at idle is: 31°C
Temp at 100% load in blend Prim95: 66°C
Temp at 100% load in Large FFT (max heat): 72°C

So very nice, I'm happy.
Of course the fans are inaudible on the 1260 RAD.

All done!

(I'll post some pics taken with photo camera, these are with my phone ... sorry)

nice mate you got a pick of the rad your using to?

eeehh ... Rad is in between desk and wall ... i have 0.5m there nothing above, so very well ventilated. So it is difficult to take pic.

It is a Phobya Xtreme SUPERNOVA 1260.
With 4x 200mm Fans on it and a D5 pump.

The pump + Rad + Res are on Quick Disconnects.
For the moment it is a "engineerd" solution as I do not have the radstand; yet.

Some more pics of total setup

ahh fair enough mate thats a huge rad

Ran furmark tests:

Temp GPU, GTX690 at full load: 39°C or so.
That is while running Prime95 on small FFT as well; CPU got to 76°C or so.
