Silver coil vs Silver-plated fittings vs biocide

Which is best? I heard Tom say you should use 1 kill coil per .5L of coolant, but how many fittings would I need, if I were to go that route.

Edit: found antimicrobial tubing. is it viable(Primochill Pro LRT)

Buy some of Mayhems premix it has biocide and everything else in it. Also if you are using anything EK that is nickel don't use a silver coile because it erodes the nickel.

Silver Kill coil over silver plate. The silver kill coil when fitted in a tube creates more surface area for the water to naturally pass over all so its cheaper. The ions distribute better as well.

As noted you need 1 Kill coil per 0.5 ltrs of water for it to work properly and produce enough silver ions in the water.

antimicrobial tubing works but watch out for leeching of plasticizer this is one of the problems with antimicrobial tubing. I don't know personally about Primochill Pro LRT.

Is this a FACT?

Is this a FACT?

I've read it on a few different forums while doing research on watercooling, Specialtech, Aria, Xtremesystems and overclockers so it's either a well known myth or a well known fact.

EK had a slight production problem with some of its blocks. this is now sorted and should no longer be of concern.
