Should i upgrade my intel core i3

Should i upgrade my intel core i3 with phenom x4 or fx-4000 series. Or sould i replace at all. PS: in have tight budget :/

Why would you change an Intel chip for an AMD chip on a low budget, because then you'd have to buy a new motherboard too? o.-

I'd think if you have an i3 already, it would make more sense to buy an i5 and put it in the already-compatible mobo..?
