Should i go futher?

those arent high temps lol once ya get into the 80-90's them thats high temps

Look at his max temps!

Prime isnt running on that screenshot, so the temps are more "idle" than at load

That is the highest you should go with that cooling imo, back it off to 4GHz or 3.8 or 3.9 maybe? I always stay with temps of around 70c plus/minus 3c after 30min of Prime95 for a 24/7 OC.

naw the image didnt fully load the first time lmao sry about that. but yeah ur approaching danger levels a bit more and ur there what are ya using for cooling atm???

Does seem like a bit high temps for a D14, at 4Ghz, I get max around 70 on my i7 950, and I think I might have seated it wrong or put too much thermal paste. On 4.2Ghz I think mine barely touched 75C, so are you sure its seated right and that you didnt apply too much thermal paste?

Judging by your username, you have good airflow, so that shouldnt be a problem.

I have tought the same for my self as well. I re seat it some day i got lot of free time... thanks for your opinions guys

yup check it out also make sure ur fans are blowing the proper ay and such remember when ya tighten down the D-14 to its retainer crank it til it stops those are meant to bottom out

I bought some new thermalpaste to my cpu and 140mm cooler to replace the original 120mm but the question is how mutch should i add thermalp to the cpu. Could someone put link to some good pic where is "perfect" ammount of paste. Thanks!

A 4-5mm blob in the middle. About the size of a rice grain or a BB, like those 6MM BB's for "toy" guns

That is what everyone says is best, but there is really no perfect amount I guess. I would just go with that and see how it works out, maybe reseat and try something else.. Find out what works best for you

i spread mine with an old credit card, until it is almost see-thru, all over the chip, AND THEN put a blob in the middle

everyone has different techniques

You dont wanna go past 80 really, 1.28 aint bad for a 93/20 tho, wish mine would do it.

When I did my paste on the block, I put it on like in a circle 5mm ish and then mounted the block and pulled it off to see how it spread, You have to clean and reapply but it gets the amount right, ideally you want to use the least about of paste and the best coverage.

well i re seated my cooler and added new thermal paste. Before 1st core 82C now 80C 2nd core before 81C now 77C 3rd core before 78C now 74C 4th core before 77C now 73C. So i gained some improvement but not so mutch but some. At least now my 4.123Ghz runs cooler at 24/7 use so i can use this chip a bit longer..

Ps. should i turn my back 140mm cooler to suck air to cooler and turn my fans on cooler to past the air to the front of the case. Would it improve temps some? And my 2x200mm fans on top could remove hot air wonderin at the case....
