Sharkoon t9 Project Build

Hi Forums,

I have been meaning to do this for a while and have got round to it. My case is the Sharkoon t9 case and it is a mid-ranged buget case, it is meant to include a cable managment system but is mainly based around the colour scheme, My cases colour scheme is the green sharkoon t9. My PSU isn't modular and has several cables coming of it. I have been using this case for 4 months now and have tried my best to cable manage my build.

This is the overview of my system and shows my attempt of cable manaming my system. My specs are as follows;

Intel core i5 2500k with Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro rev 2.

4gb Kingston hyper-x ram

p8z68v-LX

My old Nvidia GTS 450

And my PSU the XFX Core Edition 550w 80+

Of course the bad cable managment of this case meant that not all my psu's cables could fit in the back panel otherwise the back panel would disform and dent. So i had to make do and hide the cables in the bottom of the Drive bay.

Any suggestions would be taken in and i will try and tidy up my case a little more

I plan on getting a better graphics card to replace my current one

Thanks ;]

Thank you for sharing the pics, it looks limited as you have mentioned with cable management and it's easy to say go out and buy a modular psu..mine is not fully modular but i did manage to hide a couple between the psu and motherboard tray or if flat enough behind the mobo.

The truth is you built this yourself and you can be proud of your achievment, as for me i put a bit of money aside monthly and buy that way, a bit frustrating but it works eventually

maybe if you made a black or green tray to cover the cables at the bottom might be a solution.

I did a build for a friend in that exact case with a non modular psu and had no problems tidying the cables, I think a re-wire is in order imho.

Thinking about it but also trying to find the time to do it ;]

That's pretty messy, are you sure you can't get those wires behind? How much space is there back there?

And yes i could try and fit more cables back behind the mobo tray but again finding time to do it ;]

Done some cable managment and now the cables that where lying on the floor of the case have been put into the back panel ;]

Looks much better ;]
