Shamino Takes Intel Yorkfield @ 6GHz on Foxconn MARS Quantum Force

That's truely amazing.

I'm not used to Intel cpu-z readouts as I'm still on an old AMD opty, but I'm having trouble making sense of his CPU-Z information.

Can anyone shed any light?

Because CPU-Z says 3ghz? Because he can't turn off EIST which throttles back the speed unless under load...

Think if u goto the cpu-z homepage, it`s got info on it`s readouts there.

Has he posted a bench anywhere ?

No benches yet...

Well to me it is kind of obvious, this thing is no where near stable at 6Ghz he has is down at 3 and if he ran a benchmark it would instantly crash. Maybe I am wrong though.

I think you are missing the point... It's simply an acheivement to reach 6ghz on 4 cores, no one else has, it's obviously not stable. It's a 'max boot into windows for epeen'

Sorry I was tired, what I meant was it wouldn't even get into Windows if it weren't for the EIST. Why would he have it on if i didn't help him?
