Self made mount

G'day!

I bought 3 24inch LED monitors + a mount about 2-3 months ago but I'm getting annoyed at bezel and how they sit, so I'm thinking of making my own mount but also taking the screens apart and making it so there is no bezel, never taken a screen apart before would there be any problems with them side by side? Any suggestions or information would be much appreciated.

McOxy out.

Depending on the exact screen you bought, you might not be able to get rid of too much space between the screens. You WILL void your warranty on your screens by doing so. There should be no problems doing so, just be careful in general as you should modifying any computer equipment.

usually the backlight resides on that common area under the bezel. so you'll really
not gain any "seemless" look not having the bezel on or off. prolly more backlight
bleed through more than likely..

some can work like your thinking and some do not...

Voiding warranty isn't too much of a bother but backlight bleeding will be :/ might just have to see how it looks if all is well I'll go with it if not I'll just have to get use to it :) Thank you for the advice both of you!

I would think that if it wasn't too hard for them to make a very small bezel they would have done, which makes me think that it may cause more problems than it's worth.

My two oldskool Dell flat panels beg to differ... practically zero components past the edge of the actual screens.

I never said there were components behind the bezel. If anything, structural integrity comes to mind.

yeah backlight bleeding as said and also not sure about desktop monitors but in laptops there is alot of esd on the metal within the bezel, so i wouldnt want to do that.

if you planned 3xdisplay you could have bought thin/bezel-less monitor in the first place: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-048-AS&groupid=17&catid=1120&subcat=

i used 2xmonitor setup for quite a while and after 2 weeks i couldnt even see the bezel, where the bezel was right in the middle so i can image 3x would be alot easier
