Hi OC3D!
I bought a new stationary last April and now it's about time to see what it's really got. I haven't been following overclocking and tweaking much the last 3 or 4 years, so I'd appreciate your help with finding some powerful, yet stabil settings for my system.
My specs:
Casing: Antec Nine Hundred Two, 2x 120mm fans on the front, 1x 120mm on the side, 1x 120mm fan on the back, 200mm BigBoy-fan on the top, all fans are adjustable in speed (3 steps)
Motherboard: Asus P6T Workstation Pro with 2x Gigabit Ethernet, fanless cooling with heatpipes, 7.1-lydkort, SLI-/CrossfireX-compatible, EPU EngineSix, AI/overclocking on-the-fly, SAS-controller and 6x SATA-porte
GFX: 1x Asus ENGTX260 (GeForce GTX 260) 896 MB GDDR3 RAM 2,3 GHz (I'll upgrade to SLI when needed)
RAM: 3x 2 GB OCZ Reaper HPC Edition, DDR3, Triple Channel, 1860 MHz, Reaper Heat Pipe Cooler on top
CPU: Intel Core i7 920, 2,667 GHz quad core, LGA1366 socket
HDD: Samsung SpinPoint F1 7200 RPM, 32 MB cache, 1 TB
DVD: HP dvd1060i
PSU: NorthQ Black Magic Flex 650W, semi-modular
WLAN: Linksys WMP600N, 2 antennas, 2,4/5 GHz
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster T220, 1680x1050, 16:10 Aspect Ratio, 20.000:1 Dynamic Contrast, 2 ms update frequency
OS: Windows 7 Professional x64
Keyboard: Logitech DiNovo Edge
I'm currently running stock CPU cooler, but I'm thinking about investing in a Noctua, which should be one of the best for the LGA1366 socket. The motherboard has a lot of options for adjusting the various settings but I have no experience in using them.
Thanks a lot!
