Second monitor not detected.

Hello all,
I recently tested my new motherboard with a new CPU, Ram and my old GPU (295GTX). Everything worked, I even got a signal on both monitors.

Then I started installing everything in the case (as the test was done outside it), and now that I've done this I no longer get a signal on my second monitor that is connected to HDMI. Nvidia Control Panel doesnt list it either, and Device Manager only lists 1 monitor.

In screen resolution it does find a 2nd monitor but I can only "force" it to go through VGA, which 295GTX doesnt have...

Connecting the HDMI to the motherboard directly doesnt make a difference either. Everything worked fine before I installed everything into the case. I tried both HDMI 1 and 2 on my monitor, no difference. :(

Bad HDMI cable? I've had something similar before with a laptop and a TV with HDMI

Well I'll be damned... I went into Bios and turned on the Onboard Graphics again and plugged the HDMI directly into the motherboard output, no signal. Then I tried a different HDMI cable and voila, a signal. I then plugged the DVI-D into the GPU and got a signal on both monitors (I didnt know you could use both the GPU and Motherboard outputs to get 2 signals, a friend of mine could NOT use the motherboard VGA output once, and had to use GPU no matter what to get a 2nd signal). I then moved the HDMI into the GPU instead and signal was still there.

So it all works now, thank you. :D
