I'm sorry, are they asking for a lawsuit or something :D

Free money nVidia. Surprised they have gone for this long.

Doubtful - CUDA is an acronym whereas FireCuda is a play on their established Barracuda name (dont' get bitten by one btw)

If they were that litigious then we wouldn't have so many names like Fury (AMD GPUs, Kingston memory and storage etc) or other names that seem to come on trend for a while.

They're not competing in the same space either.

Suing and winning the case are two totally different things. Don't get them mixed up. This one is a losing case as was pointed out earlier (they don't share the same market)

I suspect what Kushiro wrote was more meant in a sarcastic way regarding suing everything these days, rather than being serious...

I'll sue if my fireCuda doesn't come with a sweet looking engine block attached like the marketing graphics - *item not as described*

;)

Thats the thing. They are based there

they dont even need to be based in the States. All they need to do is sell their product there and it gives Nvidia grounds for a lawsuit.

'Murica f**k yeah,

Anyways, even if they did try, it wouldnt go far. As mentioned above. CUDA is short for Compute Unified Device Architecture. Not much grounds for a lawsuit really.

Plus.. isn't CUDA licensed as freeware?

I find the Apple vs Samsung debacle quite hilarious to be honest. Always holding bets on what the next lawsuit will be about.
