I'm thinking here that they're covering average people just downloading this and screwing things up when they didn't need to.
It has to be a certain setup that causes the issue that this fixes. It must also be the case that they`re keen to scrutinize each application for these (b4 it appears on the dubious torrents ofc, there will be stoopid people willing to use a torrented file from such sources).
I can understand the want for a simple direct download - but I can understand the want for Seagate to do as they`re doing.
