Well with more and more people getting touchscreen devices, and quite a few of them are getting screen protectors that are matte, clear and mirror. But has also lead to the development of new glass such as Cornings Gorilla Glass, which are both strong and scratch resistant. I was just wondering what do you prefer to use for your phones/tablets. Clear, Matte, Mirror or naked glass?

I prefer matte protectors, because it gives the touchscreen a really nice texture/feel. They are also less prone to fingerprints.

Even though the clear screen protectors are mostly finger print magnets I prefer them over any other as I feel that they cause very little reduction in screen sharpness or clarity. The only downside to the clear screen protectors imo is the sunlight legibility. I mostly use my phone indoors anyway and when it is used outside it's mostly to answer calls.

I also prefer clear screen protectors. I've used matt, feels nice to use but I don't like the grainy look they give at all, takes away the sharpness of the screen, same with the Zagg Invisible Sheild, had that for two days and got rid of it, absolutely hated the orange peel effect and it gave my iPhone 4s a dark creamy look instead of the shiny white it meant to be. Also dirt gathered around the edges of the protector.

I'm back to using the clear one from Cygnett and its just perfect.

One thing, I hate putting them on, my alignment is horrible  i never get in one go and dust somehow ends up under the screen protector :(
When my current one gets scratched up, might keep phone without screen protector.

I had 2 tries at putting on a screen protector on my Galaxy S2. First try was abysmal as the alignment was really bad and there was a mass of dust in one of the corners. The second try was perfect as the alignment was good and absolutely no dust under the protector at all (from what I could tell anyway). I've had the same screen protector on the phone for nearly a year now and it hasn't gathered any dust under the screen and no there are no visible bubbles. The protector itself has stayed virtually scratch free in the time I've had it (there is a tiny scratch near the top right, but it's hardly noticeable).

I've put on screen protectors for a lot of my family members and now I find it terribly easy.

I'll probably order power support screen protectors, the clear ones and see what they are like. Might my mate or some at apple store to put them on for me

The screen protector I'm using on my S2 is called:

SGP Steinheil Ultra Crystal Screen Protector Film

I did a fair bit of research to find out which protectors S2 users were using and the above name popped up a fair few times so I thought I would try them out as well. Good thing I did as I have to say they are the best screen protectors I have ever used.

Just read a review on these on amazon, quite a few iphone users are recommending these ones as well. I'll give them a go

Yeah they are really good. The bad reviews are mainly from people who couldn't apply the protectors properly. Many people say that you should apply the protector in a steamy environment, like in a bath room after a hot shower/bath :p. Apparently there is less dust in a steamy environment, but I'm not sure about how much truth there is to that.

Haha, might have to try that :p I find it hard to find a dust free place in my house, i do the hoover every week but dust returns like i haven't cleaned at all. If only they came pre-applied on phones when bought new since i'm rubbish at applying them

SGP make some of the best screen protectors on the market. Especially the Ultra Crystal.

Another solution you could take a look at is the Dynaflo Liquid Armor spray on screen protector. You don't have to worry about alignment issues or bubbles with that.

Full naked, i tried putting 4 or 5 of these things on, taking care everytime to remove all dust particals, doing it in the cleanest place i could find and bam, slight little dimple where there isnt any dirt, Stanley to the rescue to pop the wee hole, but no

so gave up and went bareback

The theory behind it is, in a steamy environment, all the water vapour in the air catches all the dust, so there's less dust flying around, that could then get underneath your screen and form bubbles.

Yeh, it's a good idea to practice before you apply the ultra crystal protector :D.
