Alright guys
Well this is a weird one.
Been on YouTube catching up with my VapingWithTwisted420 and out of the blue, or brown my screen goes to this brown colour and I get no response from mouse or keyboard.
Audio still comes through and the only way to solve it is a hard reset.
I don't have the foggiest what's going on here.
Specs - I3 4130
Asus z97 pro gamer
8gb crucial 1600MHZ 2x4gb
Sapphire r9 270X 2gb
Samsung 840 evo 120gb
WD 1TB
XFX 650W XXX PRO psu
Running Windows 7 64bit and using chrome for the tinternet.
Any one had this before?
Any ideas what's causing it?
Cheers guys

Well I think we can outrule it's your monitor that is causing it, since both your keyboard and mouse stops responding as well. And only "fix" is a reset, so it sounds to me atleast to be on a software level.

As far as this goes, I'm out of ideas. I'll let the other guys pop in and help you out since they are outstanding on computers :)

I wish you the best of luck in solving your issue mate, no one likes it when our PCs start to behave unnormal.

Does the issue occur at idle? When your just on the desktop and nothing loaded? If it eventually happens it could be VRAM issue. I would also want to rule out system memory as well by downloading and running memtest.

If it's not hardware then which drivers are you using for the 270x? If it's not 14.12 or 15.6beta, then uninstall and reinstall either of these. Follow DiceHunter's guide here on the forum's so we can fully remove a driver issue..

Sounds like a problem with the motherboard.

Make sure your BIOS is up to date (not with a BETA driver).

Disable or uninstall ANY ASUS utilities pertaining to the UEFI BIOS. This would include any overclocking utilities the AI etc.

After a hell of a lot of trail and error I have sorted it out.
It came down to two things, the new AMD drivers where clashing and messing about with AI Suite 3 so I went back to the previous version of drivers and uninstalled AI Suite 3.
Problem solved.
Cheers to Charzey, NeverBackDown and King_Of_Sand for your help.
