Schiit DAC & Amp

Hi guys,
Just finished my new build and ditched the Auzentech Prelude for onboard audio but it sounds flat.

I'm currently running Asus Z170-Deluxe onboard sound, SP2500 speakers, not using a decent set of headphones at present (recommendations welcome).

I was originally looking for a dedicated soundcard but I'm keen to explore external DAC/Amp combos and the Schiit Modi2 Uber and Magni2 Uber look like a good combo?

Am I right to be looking at the Ubers as they offer more flexibility in terms of the amp outputting via RCA as well as 3.5mm and the DAC inputting from USB or TOSlink?

Thanks
Pete

Sorry. Me being a noob. I mean the uber versions.
I'll update my original post

Ah ok. Well if you look at the FAQ for the both the Modi and Magni it tells you the exact difference between the Uber versions :)

Secondly as for it solving this flat sound, it's hard to say, a lot of this is subjective.

My thoughts on the Schiit DAC/AMP combo though: no driver hassle, very well built, great sound, looks great on the desk, at high volumes the sound is crystal clear and I personally enjoy having an external volume knob.
