Hmm this is what I got from my 290X Vapor X @ 1200mhz on Firestrike I may well skip this card then
It was never touted as a faster card than a 290/390?

TBH a lot of the 3DMARK scores can differ a lot depending on your CPU. Shame we do not know what CPU sapphire used. We will need to wait for real benches and see how it overclocks.
1200MHz is a pretty great OC for a 290X, not many get that high.

Well it has been compared to the GTX 980 which is a bit faster than the 390x

so in and around the 780ti area like i thought it would be then? (although the 78ti would need a bit of an oc to get that 3d mark score.)
may be worth the upgrade from a 780 for me then. But as i like to water cool i may try and get a 780 ti or titan instead 2nd hand as i can use my current water block.

That could be the gpu score and not overall score.
