It is a 50%+ increase..

No, no it's not... You've been poorly mistaken by a fibber. We're not going off of nVidia's whack ass figures either. We're going off the REAL figures by people actually run SLi setups.

Remember Zeus? Yeah, 17% increase = teh poo.

What? Zues?

As in the Zues with these scores:

3DMark01: 29087

3DMark03: 19786

3DMark05: 9090

AquaMark3: 84559

The only thing there that has anything more than a 17% increase is 3dmark05... One out of four doesn't do it for me, lol.

The only thing that doesn't have over a 17% increase is AquaMark

Ehhhh no... Considering his system setup compared to mine, he had a lot higher original single card benchmarks than I did and the way I'm seeing everything there is that 3dmark05 as being the only significant increase.

That setup SHOULD be hitting 40-50k 3dmark01 scores and 25k+ 03 scores... That Aquarmark score is low for that setup too, considering he has a LOT of cpu power.

To each his own, but I don't think I'll ever bee a fan of SLi.

ATI's "SLi" feature should be the ultimate smackdown to all competition.

I think the 6800s were pretty nice and stuff for last year and nvidia finally matched up to ATI, but the SLI is complete bs. Who the fuck pays $800-$1000 for that crap when you don't get 1.5-2 times the performance.

Exactamondo... Complete waste of money and sperm.

How do you know it will perferm any better?

ATI usually puts more thought into there designs, and since they've had time to inspect nVidias SLi, theyre not going to create something as bad, but rather expand on it.

Hell, ATI has cards out now that beat dual 6800 Ultras... Imagine two of those cards. :worship:

Yeh, thats BS. See, SLi improves performance MORE in 3DMark 2005 because that TAKES ADVANTAGE of the new technology. Older benchmarks do NOT. the Unreal 4 engine will take advantage of SLi technology, EASILY.

Yeah, but it's not that efficient. A single 6800 gt can get a 6000. The highest scores I've seen with 2 6800 gt/u is <10000. The technology should be made so it's taken advantage of by all crap you run over it.
