I want 2 8gb reference 480's so I can water block them i'm just getting the Moolah together then it's beans on toast for a couple of months. OFC it does depend on the reviews of the card once the NDA is lifted

Hopefully we have a better launch than Nvidia's 1000 series which has had stock issues etc...
I think that people should not hype up this much about this card, because it is natural to have this performance. It is not groundbreaking, in fact nVidia does it every year. The 960 is roughly as powerful as a 680, the 1060 should be around the performance of a 780ti,which would beat the RX 480. If the price of this card is around 300$, for the aftermarket cards that is, it won't that good of a choice as everyone thinks.

Im sorry where did you get 1060 is around the performance of 780ti and then beating the RX480 when we dont actually know the true extent of the performance for both the prior and the latter...
I guess crystal balls really do exist. This must be an entry level version that utilizes common sense.
There is a difference between hype and having reasonable expectations. No one is, expecting miracles from this card or at least I hope not. It was blatantly obvious that this generation would simply be a slightly optimized version of the previous architecture to make good use of the process shrink
The Ti was introduced in the 500 SeriesI said that you must look for trends in nVidia.
We'll just have to wait to prove my point, but I the mean time I can tell that, looking at performance comparisons from Game Debate, 960=680, 760=580, 660=480. Now, I might be wrong about one thing, the Ti version is present only from the 700 series, so I cannot say if the 1060 is going to be powerful as the 780 or the 780ti. It's more probable to be the 780ti because the 1060 will have a little bit higher price than th RX 480 and it should perform a little bit better, that's the case between the R9 290X and the GTX 780ti. Don't get too hyped up until both these cards get out, but still, having a 290X performance for around 250$ would mean a lot for gaming.
