hi

I recently ordered a sapphire 7950 oc 950mhz edition but the store i bought it from listed it with the sku 11196-10-40G ,but i saw other stores selling other models with the same sku,my question is:
The 11196-10-40G sku is for the 950mhz edition(brow/black pcb) or the 900 mhz overclock edition(blue pcb)?

Thank you.

I have to admit that I can't actually find the answer to this. There doesn't seem to be a consensus when I googled the SKU and neither does Sapphire list it on their website or product specification.

Strangely enough I think in this case it's better to check the MHz when it arrives rather than trusting the SKU!

i emailed sapphire, they said the 10-40g is the 950mhz model, i guess the vendors listed the wrong cards xD,its funny how the ppl selling those stuff know as much about computer as the tech guys in my isp...

Well when I searched it looked like a number of companies must have been "misled". Maybe Sapphire sent out the wrong numbers with 1 batch. Who knows! Anyway, glad you know what you are getting!

well the pictures and clocks were the right ones, lets hope they dont ship me the wrong one because 950mhz is 329€ and the 900 is 369€(go figure).
my 1rst choice was the msi twin frz3 but is out of stock everywhere, and it was 35€ cheaper

The sapphire will do you well. I've got the reference sapphire 7950 which I run overclocked at well over 1000MHz and it isn't loud. In fact I have two sucking in air from one another and it doesn't really bother me at all. You'll be more than fine with that Sapphire cooler, enjoy!
