Samsung to release 4TB SSDs in Early 2016

shouldnt be too long and ssd's will be a lot larger than mechanical drives.
which will be great because my mechanicals are getting to be pretty full,

i dont really understand the m.2/pci-e or pointless argument though.
if i can get a number of 4/6/or 8tb ssd's for storage, then a 1tb m.2 or pci-e ssd for a system drive. then even at sata 3 speeds i will be much better off than with mechanical.
I also dont like using up pcie lanes for storage either.

its not like you will ever have a pc full with only m.2 or pci-e drives. (if you do i have no idea how you manage that. i use multiple tb of space pretty much 6tb used right now, and i would use more if i had the space to use it)
So to me it makes perfect sense. higher capacity hopefully at the max sata 3.0 bandwidth, with modern day failure rates. and you have a fast reliable low power storage device, throw 3-4 of them in your pc. then a super fast one as a oc drive.
just like we do now with mechanicals but better
