Samsung reduces Galaxy Note 7 Battery capacity to 30%

Samsung know you can stop updates happening right?

Also, who is stupid enough to want to keep one of these? It's not a matter or pride is it? Because this is utter stupidity.. it will invalidate any/all insurance anywhere you take it, if your house burns down, or your car catches fire because of one of these.. you're insurance totally does NOT cover it, it's a recalled, dangerous product...

Why are people so stupid >.<

Dear knows why so many people have not returned their devices yet. Surely nobody tech literate enough to own a flagship phone hasn't heard of this issue yet?

lol...Samsung have told these people to return the phones.....So if i blows up in face it's there fault....If i does blow up in some adult face i will be laughing my a** off......Idiots

Oh god you have to pad everything today.

Or why can't you blame Samsung? Not the parents fault the phone explodes. It's not like there's a warning like, "Hey the phone is going to explode in 3...2...1. Boom". If they got it right the first time, wouldn't even be an issue?:)

What is an issue is the fact that 10% don't want to return the phone.. now those people. That's there fault.

10% of people are stupid then. Maybe they think they'll have a more valuable device if it's so rare. Either way they're crazy.

I would keep it, not use it, just keep it stored somewhere safe in a couple of years you could sell it to a collector for a very good price..

Because some people want to take the risk. My manager who handles all new terminal testing for our mobile network still prefers it over others. He said, he will take the risk.

We were considering sending out a notification to all and blocking the IMEI number which effectively reduces the number of users not tech gifted enough to bypass the block, but he wanted his IMEI excluded from the list.

If someone wants to risk their lives over a phone as problematic as this, well I guess we can't stop them. And there will always be some who can work their way around the updates being sent.
