Samsung says it has developed a way to store up to 16GB of data using Flash memory these disks will allow faster data access than current Laptop hard disks read 57 MBps and write at 32MBps.
these sort of disks use a lot less power than traditional hard disk drives due to the lack of motors which drain power -- it is estimated that the power ususage will be @ around 5% of current hard drives.
I only hope they have increased the r/w duty cycle as a swap file would end the life of such a disk very quickly.
