Node naming has always been a strange beast. Remember that Intel 7 is the current name of Intel 10nm.

Regardless of what they do to make it smaller, the main thing is that the cells are smaller now. Just a shame that it takes ages for these new things to come to market. We need more and cheaper DRAM ASAP.
