In this years global SSD summit Samsung has shown off an 850 variant using Stacked TLC V-Nand.

Kinda sad they only just announced this now. Might explain why the 840 evos are so well priced right now. I'm running just 840 evos in my rig currently. Hopefully the 850s will be more reliable now as a few people have had issues I think.

Hopefully the price is right here. I love the Idea of this SSD, TLC was just begging to be stacked given the benifits. Hopefully OC3D get a sample for review as I don't think we cover enough SSDs.

I kind feel like TLC vNand makes MLC worthless. The speed between them is so close it won't even be noticeable. I guess both tech's will grow as Sata 3 becomes less used and faster standards start to arise.
