Hey Guvnor, I just posted a member review of the SM951 SSD to the site last night

I kinda wish it would be a black PCB not green, I will not be looking to buy one until they start coming out with black PCB

Yeah kinda stupid to bring it out in green and sata 3, unless someone is mad I can't see many of these being sold

The problem is with a green PCB it's its not going to blend in to the motherboard so for me, i will not be buying any of these M.2 drives until they start coming out with black PCB

There's the kingston hyperx incoming. However, it will cost more than the EVO.

To be fair, there's nothing on it other than the contacts which you could mask off easily, that would stop you spraying it black if that's seriously all thats stopping you buying it

To me that's not the point, Like how much extra would it have cost to make it with a black PCB, I'm no good a painting things

Ya i know, Some people are good with a spray can & other people aren't, I have seen a painted motherboard not saying any names but to me it look kinda crappy, Surely it can't be much longer until they start doing a black PCB maybe the only reason why there doing green atm just to see how it sells

I guess most people won't care about the colour to be honest. I don't think it is an oversight that they decided to use a green pcb. For example a lot of these will probably go into laptops. The number of people that care about the colour is probably a small percentage of the target market.
