Samsung 840 Pro 256GB £54

Just called them and they have cancelled all the orders (10,000 apparently :D), they haven't got round to sending the emails out yet though.

Oh well, nothing lost, nothing gained.

Hmm, but they haven't said either way, and there's a pending charge on my card that's appeared which is not the right amount. So I'm curious as to where this goes...

What a surprise they are not honoring the orders, unlike Razer's recent f*** up.

Can you blame them?

Some poor sod makes an error with the listing. Then the 'wolf pack' mentality trying to cash in on that mistake gets put around and before you know it some poor sod has to sort it out.

I wouldn't even mind but most of the orders were made by greed so the drives could be sold on for profit.

Is it more than what it was priced at?

Well you wouldn't ship out the bulk orders.

Naw it's less, The posts about them cancelling hadn't loaded on my screen either. Good to know they've sorted it I guess.

Its like £77 charge but the order was around £120.. interesting...

Lol If I were them I'd have taken the hit and honoured it. It would have given them
A) a large cash lump sum
B) a big 'karma' hit from the web for doing it 'right'

This was either a massive PR stunt... or a way to have 10,000 X £54 (so like 540k wash through their accounts over a few days...

I bet they make a little interest off that...

Or ultimately it was a screw up. lol

Edit:

Just got this from them.

I see no problem with making profit, greed has nothing to with it.
Whether they were sold on or kept it makes no difference, the same amount of money was saved on each drive bought or earned on each one sold.
