sabertooth Z77 problem

Yesterday I installed a Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard into my system as my last board died. however I'm having problems with a few things.

Components;

I7 2600k

2xGigabyte GTX570OC Windforce in S.L.I.

120 gig SSD

2TB HDD

1000 watt 80 plus gold power supply

8 Gigs of Kingston DDR3 Ram

Basically my problem is that it will only detect one of my graphics cards when i install the other into the second PCI slot it wont recognise it but the fans on the graphics card do switch on.

I have tried swapping the graphics cards around and in the BIOS settings fixing them on 2.0 rather then allowing it to auto select.

The other problem I'm having is that it will recognise my HDD in the bios however it will not recognise it in windows at all I can't even assign it a letter I thought that would have been the problem.

If anyone has any tips for me it would be grately appreciated, or is my motherboard faulty?

Have you tried having a look in device manager to see if it pics up your hhd?

Right click on computer and click manage, have disk manager at the bottom, is it there at all? If not try swapping cables to see if it is a cable problem. Other than that, may be drive itself

Yes I have it does not appear in device manager. I can select it as a boot drive from the BIOS so it is in there somewhere maybe I try another SATA port, I'm more concerned about getting my second graphics card working at the moment.

for hdd control panel>system and security>disk management it should list all drives you should be able to assign a drive letter there.

as far as the gpus. try just the second slot only and see if it'll post up. change bios to 8x slot first then if its doesnt post up you may have a buggered board.

I can see both my drives in the BIOS but only the SSD in disk management, however it is doing something strange in the fact the in the BIOS sometimes only the SSD will show up, then other times only the HDD, I'm going to try updating the BIOS on the motherboard and see if it improves the problem.

it's all sorted for whatever reason it was registering an old version of the graphics drivers so all i had to do was reinstall.

THe HDD and SSD have been sorted, issue with the BIOS settings.

Thanks for your help guys!!
