Sabertooth 990FX and FX-8350 OC

Ok, I have been everywhere to try and find how the hell to OC this mobo and CPU and I keep coming up with a PC that won't reboot. Here are my specs:

Asus Sabertooth 990FX(latest BIOS)
FX-8350 CPU
16 gigs Corsair Vengence Mem (1600)
Gigabyte GTX670 x 2 SLI
ADATA SX900 SSD
WIN 7 64 bit
Corsair GS800 PSU
Corsair H100i cooler

Does anybody have a step by step guide for this setup? I have tried to follow youtube videos and such and everytime I reboot, I get a black screen and my monitor won't detect my video card. I would like to safely get this CPU to 4.5-4.6. Thanks!

i started with the ROG guide. it was a standard multiplier overclocking guide. then
you have northbridge overclocking (which might be your boot issue) guides.
not really sure if the UEFI BIOS will be completely the same, but it might shed
some light on the ills of booting. but it worked for me on C5FZ with 4.8/1.488vCORe.

you might also try just single card overclocking before enabling SLI. have you already
had the win7 patches installed? Win7 SR1 installed?

I have seen that before. There are tons out there for the C5FZ but it doesnt look the same as my Sabertooth BIOS.

yes, I am up to date with my patches. SLI affects CPU OCing?

It isn't though because I do not have an Extreme OC tab

Also, some things are labeled differently.

I mean Extreme Tweaker tab

best thing to do with AMD overclocking is to use the AMD-supplied PDF document that gives you all of the details on overclocking the AM3+ socket. Even though it was compiled during Zambezi the same rules apply to Vishera since it's all on the same socket. It's actually a pretty comprehensive guide to overclocking and they use the Asus interface as a reference point to going through the BIOS to perform this operation as well as showing you how to use the Catalyst software to perform overclocking on-the-fly (though I do not recommend taking that route).

Here is a link to the document directly from the AMD website: FX performance tuning guide

Also remember that the same process as is outlined in the TTL guide on overclocking the Intel chips still applies in terms of stepping up voltages and multipliers gradually so as not to cause permanent damage to the chip.
