S8S - CaseLabs

well i just bit the bullet and ordered new case from states Mercury S8S it didnt come cheap i do like the little one i just got the lian li bench t-70 but i just think the s8s will give me better airflow and also look don feckin corleon :D
gona take a good while for them to do it and send it reckon my mid to end march the the eu suppler is out the equation now cos of some terms and agreements he didnt like in new contract(spoke to them) , thats why he was being all iffy and dodgy about it when i asked him about new cases tried telling me they dont make them any more and trying to sell me old stock he got left , but i saw in U.S site its just fine

they are looking for some one now in the eu to be their supplier (jump on it guys)
shipping is gona kick my arse but its just something i have had my eye on for AGES!

gun barrel grey with white internals if anyone's wondering what i chose
come to think of it now gota try find a way to get past the import tax geezz only just realized that
well this looks like it gona be an extended stay on the couch when i get round to telling or maybe i will wait and just show the misses the case when it comes :D

Ok heres a quick update and a question i cancelled the order for the Mercury S8S and ordered a Mercury s8 it came out cheaper cos of the offers that they had this month on free 2 tone paint and some other extras plus its a bigger case so bonus there

question is on the front panel on the left you can either have a window or a grill that you can attach 2 fans behind ... will the 2 extra fans if installed give you a noticeable degree of cooling other wise the glass (perspex) is more aesthetic.
the front will have 2x 140's the back 1 -140 and the top will have space for 2x 140's

plus i think with the window down the line i should be able to take it out(if anyone actually has one or seen one and can confirm) and put what ever i want there but the grill will be permanent

I don't like that window at all. I prefer the signature Caselabs mesh design. Also, there's a massive window in the side. Why would you want a small one in the front?

RGB and Caselabs? hang on, too much to compute let me run that through the no meter.

RGB+Caselabs..Computing...NO. NO. ERROR. *bang*

It just looks totally weird man. Get it vented and if you really want a window stick a sheet of clear acrylic behind the mesh. You will still be able to see the lights.

you could always put a custom made reservoir in the space, maybe a waterfall one would look nice

ya true its gona have XL window on left panel and right panel half window half mesh also dont forget all down right side of front cover it will be all meshed with 2 -140's

dunno maybe im just over thinking it lol

plus down the line i will want to try some water cooling i have never gone down that road and it would good to have it there like rob suggested

geezz i dont know lol

Well vented to me looks archaic. If I wanted a vented design PC, I'd just go with the LD- V8. Which is probably £200 cheaper.

Prefer the windows. you could put the res on display in that window.

I'm using the cascade Res from bitspower in my coolermaster, it looks fantastic!

that is the place that no longer working with caselabs they had a falling out over terms and agreements for now there is no EU supplier they are looking for one tho :(

I just followed the link. Its still possible to buy them so maybe dispute is over? Also allows you to preorder the new ones coming up in march.

yer well if you see the s8 or s8s it says out of stock when i called them they said they dont have any but tried to sell me what they did have in stock

also the options to customize it are considerably less that the options given on caselabs.com also they charging you for stuff caselabs has standard

plus it seems to be a lot more expensive to get it from the Romanian dealer than caselabs usa go figure

dont know if allowed to post this link here but if you read what this guy went through with bestcases.eu you will know what they stopped working with them and all they have left is some old stock http://www.overclock.net/forum/161-...xperience-bestcases-caselabs-eu-supplier.html

They will always be out of stock. they are 99% of the time made to order, since you choose you options for the extensive list. Same goes for Caselabs home page. The ones you see there are often cancelled orders or basic packs they put together for quick sales.

But I agree. I think its better to get it from the source. This EU page needs to still make a profit so if Caselab is charging them an unreasonable price/discount then the EU store needs to make up some of the loss.

Caselabs do. That is why people love them, because they look like server cases from the late 90s. Massive old square boxes.

I just think adding RGB and all of that "gayming" crap to a Caselabs is like doing this with a Audi Quattro.

Ed. Good call on the LD, though. I think I would rather have one of those.

Adding RGB is tackyyes, but that doesn't really have anything to do with an additional window does it? with some tasteful soft white lighting you can put something on show in that window, as well as keep a little extra dust from making it inside :)

Then again, same goes for the diagonal vented slots on Parvum cases. I've never really liked it even though the cases are outstanding. E22 Hex projects at least tried to break the mold and stand out like the R40

I have just seen the new Deepcool frameless fans. Might pick some up and try a nice open front mod for my C700P cast. Has potential and certainly unique. Albeit a true nightmare for dust.
