Not bad specs there mate, if it's gaming performance you're looking for though I'd consider a graphics card upgrade before anything else, as by my estimates that 8500 will be bottlenecking your X2, not the other way around. It may be worth holding on to your current setup for a little longer, as LGA775's replacement is going to be arriving later this year, or early next year, so now may not be the best time to upgrade if the real-world perfomance gains are not so great.

Thanks for the reply mate... I'm looking at getting a 512GTS of a GTX.... I've got the funds waiting, just need to make up my bloody mind!

Personally I think you might as well go for a quad.

The prices are going to crash down now as the new 45nm's are coming out and a decent board is relatively cheap. Just buy a standard 8800gt and overclock. Mind you, saying that, even a GTX is cheap enough.

If you wait, then when you go to buy something in the future someone is just going to go, "but.....this is coming out soon....and...this is coming out soon."

Its a never ending cycle and dont forget. You can always sell old hardware. :D
