Have you guys noticed that you have problems running windows (64bit) with either google chrome or firefox.. My PC always seems to be crashing no matter what browser Im using and through a bit of research I've seen that either flash or these browsers can have a difficult time with windos in 64 bit.

are there releases of flash, google chrome or firefox in 64bit?

Firefox has a x64 version called Waterfox but it's not made by Mozilla (a quick Google search will find it), as for x64 versions of Flash yes there are just search on filehippo for "Flash" (without the quotes) and you will find them. I doubt it is your browser or Flash causing your problem as many many many people use x64 systems without the issues you describe.

can you guys think of what might be causing this problem? Are you guys just running the standard versions of google chrome, firefox and flash?

...no prbs here for over 2 years, with uptodate updates and all 4 flashes and java.

whats the problem? i dont get it, does the macromedia crash or something?

I'll always get a error message of some sort with both browsers that flash has crashed.. I'll try look into java though, might be a part of the problem.

I've just updated java but I noticed when I was looking through control panal that both flash and java have (32bit) beside the name. I know 32bit programs are meant to be integrated to 64bit windows but I'm just running out of ideas of why I keep getting this..

Have you guys still got microsoft silverlight installed on your computer?

What programs would you guys suggest to clean up my computer? registry possibly, spyware, malware.. any other testing software I should use to see how my overclock was? other then prime 95 that was successful overnight

please help!

If it were me, I would back up my stuff and re-install windows.

There are way to many possibilities.

That would be the easiest option.

what version of chrome are you running, with chrome flash is included with the browser. So when the browser updates flash updates. So depending on which version of chrome you have most likely other people with that version should have the same version of flash. (unless they updated it manually) I do remember a couple of months ago there was an issue with the flash in canary build. Since been fixed.

Thanks for the screen shot's. I have the latest version of google chrome installed on my computer. When I did a fresh install all I had done to the computer was install the latest drivers for the graphics card, update windows files and install google chrome I still came up with http://blog.hexagons...ads/aw_snap.gif error message.

Looking through your screen shots at the moment I dont have a few things installed on the computer for chrome to recognize as a install. Would this be a problem considering chrome installs its own features to run itself?

Does chrome has a conflict with windows firewall?

Could my graphics card overclock have anything to do with this?

When most programs install on windows they will automatically change the firewall settings to match.

I have a lot of plug ins/extensions that you either do not need or have not needed yet. Chrome comes up with a yellow bar up the top telling you when it wants to install an extension.

What I would try is go to "about:flags" and disable:

- GPU Compositing on all pages

- GPU Accelerated SVG and CSS filters

and any other GPU acceleration based render methods.

See if that makes a difference.

There were massive problems with Firefox 13 and flash, they've uploaded a new version of flash to fix the crashing full screen but I still get problems. Never had a problem with flash before with FF and flash but the new versions are utter pants.
