At $40, is this thing a good buy from the egg? I'm looking for a replacement case for a prebuilt gateway (gt5438) that my little brother has to put up with back home.
Aparently it has a 300w PSU in it and I'm pretty sure it will start causing problems when I upgrade the gfx to a ~4670 (just guessing on that) and when I start overclocking the E4300 cpu it has.
Anyone have a better PSU to plug (lowest cost, but functional), or comments on the Rosewill? I'd like to go below $40 but all of the cheaper ones seem to have pretty stigmatizing reviews along the lines of "it lasted a week."
Edit: how good is the Antec 500W EarthWatts PSU when it comes to OCing
ugghh... my alternative to this plan would be to use my current antec in the gateway system (concidering that to save me $40, in the purchase of this PSU~!) and then to upgrade my Antec 550w PSU to use for overclocking a q9300 and also a total of two 4850s in the near future (that enigmatically seems to get more and more distant from the present as time proceeds)... I wish I had chosen a more dynamic name for this post...
but anyway, can I trust the 500W EarthWatts PSU for my overclocking, or will it have to go eventually anyway (and therefore it would be advantageous to do it now in the form of hand-me-downing)? Shopping this christmas is just tearing my mind apart, lol. (determining this as a solution means I have to choose between water cooling and air cooling, which then leads to more decisions and i'm emploding at my desk as I type this)
