Rootserver with Core2Quad

Hello,

I'm going to rent a new rootserver (because my old one's cpu sucks) and I decided to take one from NGZ-Server.de with

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

4GB ram

and windows 2003 server edition

But some friends of mine said that the quadcore technology isn't good enough yet, so it will only cause crashes and bugs, and I should rent a normal dualcore server.

What do you think about that? oO

Greetings, Mankano

Sounds like your friends need a slap ;)

One of our servers is a Q6600, and it hosts our game servers just fine :)

Any setup/installation issues m8 ? Or did it go just as well as it would have with, lets say, a conroe ?

No problems at all. I had the latest servicepack and hotfixes integrated into the install via nlite, but it went without a hitch.
