Root Canal surgery

Had root canal surgery this morning at 0930hrs, the anaesthetic has now truly worn off, and guess what it hurts, opens can of lager. :p

The dentist said it would probably take a couple of days to settle, great.

On a more lighter note whilst I was lying in the chair, Chris Moyles on radio 1 was doing Carpark cathphrase and one of the clues was root canal surgery -and touching a nerve , talk about appropriate.

Anyway, off to numb the pain a bit more with my friend JD.

I am 15 and have yet to have anything done to my teeth! Brush for 5mins a day children.

After having braces for 5 years (now got perfectly straight teeth) I know how much having some blokey poke and prod around in your mouth is. Not had anything as major as root canal, but I know how you feel :(
 
Wise words from someone so young tox, gotta love the internet eh, years ago all I had was my parents who were not particularly forceful with their appraoch to dental hygiene.

One of the big things for me and my kids is they learn from my mistakes, so I showed them the temporary filing I have (more surgery to follow to finish the job ) and also told them how much it hurt, they brush their teeth well, twice every day but tonight they stepped it up a gear lol. Subversion is for winners lol.

On a lighter note my mate is kicking in now so I will be off to bed soon. :p
 
brushing too much can be just as bad as not brushing at all. You start to brush the enamal off. My dentist always tells me to brush for 30 seconds ber quadrant.

I hate tooth pain though, i think i'd rather have a leg chopped off than really bad tooth pain.

I remember when I was little. Mu dad always watched me brush my teeth..

One day he didn't, I brushed my teeth on my own and he runs in saying I had to do it again! :(

Plus he scared the hell out of me with the stories of the tooth fairy and the denist.. :)

lmao.. I can only look back and laugh. Although it was only like 10 yeas ago! :D

I hope your teethys get better soon chudley!
