Rocket League to gain Cross-Network Play with Xbox One

Psyonix has announced that Rocket League is going to be the first game that will feature cross-network play, bringing online unity to all platforms.

Yeah I know, but cross play with the Xbox one is a great prospect, it could allow Rocket Leagues online modes last for years longer than was originally anticipated.

For consoles it will mean that there will be much fewer games that have a "dead" online mode a few weeks after release etc. It will certainly help more niche online games keep going in the future.
