RMA: Intel Pentium M 770

Does anyone know how to go about an RMA of an Intel Pentium M 770?

It is physically mint, but does not work. I have looked on the Intel site, but can not find how to RMA the processor

RMA is attached to the warranty card I believe? Or if you can get the receipt you can go through your e-tailor.

Is it OEM or Retail mate? If it's OEM you'll need to go through the correct channels although proof of purchase etc isnt necessary. You shouldnt need a receipt. Strange that it doesnt work!

It's OEM - Any idea how to get it sorted?

Or I'll be stuck with an expensive dead CPU!

If anyone has a laptop it'd fit in and is willing to give it a go, that could be good - just didn't work in my Ct-479

cant u just send it back to where it was bought or was it bought of another person?

I think AMD OEM chips are ok for 30 days but then that it, not sure what intel system is.

Off a person from America, so it all gets complicated - am I basically stuffed with a dud?

There is still the chance it may work in a centrino laptop - just gotta find someone with one...
