RMA ASUS motherboard

So I was cleaning my motherboard and I wasn't carefull and I managed to rip of a small component ( think it was a very small capacitor.) Its tiny and very hard to see with naked eye. Should I try to RMA the motherboard?

no thats deceiving & lying is sin! can you not find it & attempt to repair it yourself? failing that contact them & be honest about it to see how much your mistake is going to cost

Will post a PIC from my digital camerra tomorrow when I get access to computers because all I have left now is a tablet with a crappy camera.
That motherboard was cheap anyway (Asus a55bm-e), but still I would of rather spent my money on upgrading CPU instead of buying new motherboard.

When I turn it on, all fans spin but the CPU heats up slowly. The orange led on the internet port flickers fast for about 2 seconds, stops, then starts flickering and then stops again.

I contacted Asus after my GPU broke, explained the situation, returned the item and they decided to repair it without charging me as it was a common problem that they couldn't say for sure was my fault.

Despite me getting really annoyed that my pristine Titan retail box was sent to them with all the accessories inside it and all they sent me back was a battered cardboard tray with an anti-static wrapped GPU inside, it wasn't so bad. (Yes I am bitter than they never gave me a retail box back).

you could try and rma it but id up front about how it happened as from what I know of smd parts they are hard to knock of a board unless you hit them very hard and you tend to rip the copper off pcb,s wen you do so it maybe a part that dident bond wen it was put in the reflow oven wen the board was made
it happens some times but not a lot

be honest with them if you RMA it, they may repair it for a small fee.

Sending it back as a DOA or otherwise is fraud and not welcome here
