Rise of the Tomb Raider - AMD VS Nvidia Performance Review

Won't be watching the video, too many spoilers. Hoping AMD release their driver today to coincide with my new headphones which should arrive today with any luck.

I've given up with it. No proper sli support even with new drivers. Only utilising 50% of each gpu so might as well not bother.

Has massive memory leak issue so a prolonged game of over an hour causes hitching and loading problems and soon crashes.

The loading between cinematic and game play hitches and frame rates drop.

So yeah will wait till drivers are sorted on gtx 980's. Would normally say dodgy install or something but all other games running fine and re-installed a few times to check. Rolled back to different drivers with no difference either.

When the game works though it is really good and looks pretty.

I found the limited look taking a bit odd. First the 380 is available and fairly widely with a 4gig variant so the complaint of texture memory makes no sense. Also the 380X is not that dis-similarly priced and wondering why it was not included.

The same goes for the 390 and 970, would seem both cards would be great choices.

I only test what I have mate, which is all GPUs that I have bought myself BTW.

I would love to test more stuff, but that is not viable atm, not unless somebody wants to give me some GPUs.
