Rig Colour Schemes

Okay, so even though I've literally just built my rig, and really it's not 100% finished, because of all your creative minds and the gorgeous rigs everyone has been posting recently, I think I want to build another. (ARGH!!!)

First thing is what color schemes do people like? If you were building a new rig yourself, a fully watercooled powerhouse, what would you pick?

This is going to be a sort of, "Dream build" it's not going to be something I aim to build in a certain amount of time. I've admired peoples work for years now, seeing them cut, mod, paint and watercool and build their rigs from the ground up and they can look fantastic.

I have no idea when this will start, the first thing would be the case, which I have no idea about. It'll have to be quite large though.

Oh and, nice one lads, for emptying my wallet.

(This is also a thread for anybody else wanting to get some colour scheme ideas, as I'm sure images will be posted, it's not a build log or anything).

I am currently builiding a black+white rig and I just love that.

Other than that I am deeply in love with Purple+White / Purple+Black schemes.

Got any pics of a purple plus black rig? It doesn't sound nice written down, but seeing it might change my mind!

Black and white is nice, but it's "Standard". Well...I'm sure there are some crazy rigs out there that use the colour scheme but aren't standard.

I really like Snef's Sand of God colour scheme, the white and gold colour looks really really nice, he's got a good case for it as well.

Couldn't find one so I photosouped this Black & Blue one:

I'd be tied between black and yellow or black and purple.

All black with yellow cables and coolant with that gigabyte board with yellow heatsinks, yellow ram *drools*

Not forgetting a couple of 280x Toxics ;)

I dunno, it looks okay, I've never watercooled before or overclocked so it would be something I'd do so it'd be interesting to see one with purple tubing/coolant or whatever.

I wonder if you can chrome paint things...

Black & yellow has been done to death as well though! Oh, and iirc, the Toxic cards are actually orange?

White and chrome would look pretty interesting...

I think chrome or brushed aliminium and white could look good yeah...it would need a sort of, reflective mirror finish though. I don't know if you can paint that affect, or whether I'd need to send the case away (or do it myself) but I'm not sure how.

Edit: The guys in the building next door at work make lighting for office buildings and all that, they can cut metal with their machines. I wonder if I could have them help.

Chrome and white would look pretty cool, but you will need some contrasting tint(s), otherwhise it would still look like one big white lump :p

You can have black, green and white ;)

Black, white and green is mine! :(

Green, white and black is much better than black, green and white, if you save up you can upgrade your black, white and green to green, white and black, if its not what you're looking for black, green and white has similar performance for slightly less price.

I'd love to see a nicely done black, black and red rig. By which I mean themed around the R4E BE with tiny dashes of red not crazy red just a slither, I think black, white and red could work too.

Red is definitely my favorite accent colour but most of all I love black. I did used to have a black 'murdered out' rig when I was a newb. I guess it doesn't count as a colour :)

My head hurts...

Big fan of white lights with black cases. In terms of custom watercooling rigs anything with copper pipes.

That dude with the green, black and white, green, white, black just gave me a headache lol.

I like red and black but it's a bit common. It's just whack everything Asus in and your done.

Edit: Has anybody ever made a dual rig, one case, two systems? Intel one side, AMD the other? :P
