Review: Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro.

lol so its silver arrow or the achon or the dark rock

argggggh

The venom is still a top performer and it does have more heatpipes than the archon, it's also bigger. Although the archon comes with a fan and probably has some newer technology in it.

EDIT: I love making your life harder by flooding you with more and more choices =D

its soooooooooo annoying

If I was you AMD, I would wait for Thermalright to release the Dark Archon. Since they do have a tendency of dark nickel plating their coolers, and Dark Archons are also a Starcraft unit, also it sounds cool =D

Problem with the Archon btw, it's even taller than a Noctua, so lots of height issues cases. 170mm in case you are wondering.

you no what?

ile bend the pins on the RAM lol and buy a DH14 as there are far far to many options to look at.

and your mashing my head lmao

reps tho for the info

Dark Rock Pro & Silver Arrow, the D14 is in my Rig at the moment, but that'll change in a minute lol

this thing looks like something from noctua, just in black

the build quality is excellent...

Hello!

I have already ordered - a cooler (Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro). But I worry about the next question.

And if the cooler is rotated 90 degrees - it will fit (fans will be directed to the graphics card)?

In this position, the cooler will not overlap dimms of memory? You have not tried it - it so I install it?

My dimms of memory is very high - OCZ Reaper.

What is its noise level?

Motherboard pictured - is ASRock Extreme 6? Yes?

Sorry for my English - I'm Russian.

way to go quoting an entire op with all of it's pictures !

anyway, i don't know ansewers to all your questions but tom made a video review so check that out to get a good idea of it's size

Cooler has to be directed out the back of the case, but its pretty much square anyways and will not fit with any oversize memory including the OCZ on most motherboards.

The measurements of the cool are 150 x 166 x 133 mm (WxHxD)

Nowadays, every time someone asks “What cpu cooler should i get?” Everyone says they should get the Noctua NH-D14. Or shouldn’t they ? Thermaltake has 2 awesome coolers, well actually only 1 but if you but a second fan on the archon it will beat the silver arrow which in some cases beats Noctua’s flagship.

Please..

I would and still will advice to get the Noctua D14 , i seriously don't see any reason to say anything otherwise

the only thing i can think of is the color(colour) of the cooler(fans)

well the Noctua P14 fan is pretty loud. The Thermalright counterpart is more quiet and it performs better.

Mate I can't hear it and it's right by my right ear. It really doesn't make 45dbA

dude, dba are no absolute numbers, because they depend on how far the mic is away from the fan, 20cm away might be 40dba, 1m away could be 30dba, when 2m away might be 20dba. It's strictly for comparison purposes.

Anyway, it's pretty much a fact that the TY-140 is more quiete than the p14 and performs better, just look at any random review outthere, they all say the same.

just one more for you because i just read it a few minutes ago:
